State-supported programs like the Maroc Vert Programme (PMC) and Génération Green have enhanced competitiveness, particularly through investments in irrigation systems, leading to increased agricultural diversification and exports. However, recent years saw a slowdown in agro-mechanical sales, partly due to changes in VAT regulations.
Despite this, forecasts indicate a market recovery, offering opportunities for Italian-Moroccan cooperation. The 46th edition of EIMA International, scheduled for November, provides a platform for showcasing cutting-edge agricultural machinery and technologies, attracting a growing number of Moroccan attendees. With over 1,500 exhibitors expected, including a significant international presence, EIMA 2024 promises innovations tailored to Morocco's agricultural needs, such as robotics, drones, and other automated technologies aimed at improving productivity and sustainability in the face of climate challenges. Moreover, technical meetings and outdoor demonstrations will highlight advancements in agricultural machinery and practices, making EIMA 2024 a highly anticipated event for Moroccan farmers and technicians.
